You Can Teach an Old Dog New Tricks!

PetLynx Corporation's Industry Partners ....
Iams and the Canadian Kennel Club Kick-Off Third Annual Rdog Week

TORONTO /CNW/ - The day goes to the dogs as Iams, in support of the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), celebrates Rdogs - Responsible Dog Owner Groups - across the country. Starting September 27, dog owners from coast-to-coast are invited to discover the joys and responsibilities of being a pet parent during the week long campaign aimed at educating Canadians on being responsible dog owners and raising awareness about the role canine companions play in our communities."It is important to teach both pet owners and non-pet owners alike how to interact with dogs of different breeds, sizes and ages in order to keep our neighbourhoods safe," said Sonny Allinson, Manager of Marketing and Communications, CKC. "A part of responsible dog ownership means
ensuring your dog is a welcomed and trusted member of your community."

Rdog events will be popping up all over the country to educate Canadians on issues related to their four-legged family members - topics range from nutrition and exercise, to lifestyle and finances. Rdog week concludes on Saturday, October 2, 2010 with the third annual Rdog walk.

"Iams is proud to support the CKC Rdog initiative," said Joyce Law, External Relations Manager, Iams Canada. "Providing a high quality premium food is just one of the many elements associated with being a responsible pet parent."
